Generative AI for good: no hate, more human

Within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building project “Generative AI – Youth Sector Challenges and Impact”, the partners launched the online campaign “Generative AI for good”.

The campaign shows how technology can become a voice for respect, empathy and safer conversations online. Artificial intelligence is not only a risk for young people. Used responsibly, it can help them spot hate speech, think critically and build kinder digital spaces.

No hate. More human.

Can AI help create a safer internet?

Hate speech spreads quickly online, but AI can be a powerful tool to identify harmful language, flag abusive content and support safer digital spaces for everyone.

Technology alone isn’t the solution. The most effective approach combines AI with human empathy, critical thinking and respect for one another.

By using AI responsibly, we can help reduce online harm, protect vulnerable communities and promote more positive conversations.

Smarter technology. Safer online spaces. Stronger communities.

Let’s use AI for good and build a digital world where everyone feels respected and heard.

Rise above hate

As part of the Erasmus+ CBY project “Generative AI – Youth Sector Challenges and Impact”, the partners released a new campaign visual: “Rise above hate”.

Online, a comment takes two seconds to write, but its impact can last much longer. The campaign invites young people to choose respect over hostility, to report hateful content instead of sharing it, and to stand with those who are targeted.

Share kindness. Stop hate speech.

Is it human art or artificial generation?

As Generative AI gets more advanced, it is becoming harder to tell real photos from AI-created images at first glance. These tools can create stunning visuals, but they often leave subtle clues that reveal their digital origin.

To be truly media literate, we have to look past the overall image and inspect the details. Here are three quick checks:

  1. Examine the eyes. AI struggles with reflections and pupil shapes. Real eyes are symmetrical, with matched light reflections and round pupils. AI eyes may look glossy or mismatched, or have irregular shapes.

  2. Inspect the text. This is often the easiest flaw to spot. AI does not read or write; it predicts patterns. In AI images, letters on signs, books or background objects are often scrambled or illegible.

  3. Check the backgrounds. The main subject may look perfect, but backgrounds often lack coherence. Look for textures that make no sense, inconsistent blur, or windows and bricks that suddenly vanish or warp.

Before you trust or share an image, take a moment to look closer. Be media literate!
